In the U.S., about 43 children get cancer diagnoses each day — around 16,000 children each year. Your support makes a difference in their care and recovery.
Contributing to cancer research brings advancements that improve care for children with cancer. Thanks to medical advances, the 5-year cancer survival rate has increased by 42% since the 1970s. Research has contributed to over 500,000 U.S. cancer survivors.
Cancer research has many purposes, primarily improving survival. Scientists also aim to minimize later harmful effects and boost early detection and prevention. The positive results already seen through cancer research can only get better with added support for life-saving treatments and care.

Beyond individual contributions, Four Diamonds offers plenty of ways to support childhood cancer research so that people of all ages can get involved with improving childhood cancer treatment. Involvement opportunities range from K-12 programs in schools to events you can plan and host. Aiding the fight against childhood cancer takes many forms, and we’re sure you’ll find the right fit for you.
Four Diamonds makes it easy for you to take your interests and passions and turn them into an opportunity to raise money for childhood cancer research, For The Kids®. You’ll have the chance to host an event — all while doing whatever you love most.
To get involved, all you have to do is come up with an idea, create a Four Diamonds fundraising page, raise funds and help us conquer childhood cancer. Some ideas include hosting a sporting event, a bake sale or an endurance challenge like walking or swimming. You can also host a fundraiser whenever you celebrate a personal milestone like a birthday, graduation or wedding.
No matter what kind of fundraiser you choose, you’ll be giving hope and financial support to childhood cancer patients and their families.
The largest student-run philanthropy in the world, led by students at The Pennsylvania State University, the Penn State Dance Marathon (THON™) is a year-long fundraising and awareness campaign. This effort engages more than 16,500 students who are committed to one goal: conquering childhood cancer.
Since 1977, THON has raised more than $254 million to benefit Four Diamonds and our mission. To make a gift, visit donate.THON.org.
Four Diamonds Mini-THON® empowers K-12 students to help in the fight against childhood cancer by involving their school and the local community in fun multi-hour events. In addition to fundraising, planning and hosting dances, activities and games, students also work on their problem-solving, teamwork and communication skills.
This cancer fundraising effort, which lasts for the entire school year, enables students to select an advisor, recruit friends and then plan an event. With plenty of training materials and step-by-step guides, students will have everything they need to make their Mini-THON® a roaring success.
Have fun while raising awareness and supporting childhood cancer patients by fundraising for Four Diamonds during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September.

Want to learn more about the children who benefit from your support?
Meet Brooke, a Four Diamonds child who recently celebrated a year since hearing the powerful words: “No evidence of disease.” At just 8 years old, Brooke was diagnosed with ependymoma, a rare brain tumor—a life-changing moment that led to three years of intensive treatment. Now 11 and stronger than ever, Brooke has become a passionate advocate for brain tumor awareness and research, turning her cancer journey into a mission to help others.
Sami, another Four Diamonds child, has been cancer-free for more than six years. After completing treatment as a young child, she’s now a teenager with big dreams—college is on the horizon, and she plans to become an art therapist to help other patients heal through creativity.
Some Four Diamonds children are now adults doing their own incredible work, making a difference in the lives of others. Brady is one of them. After facing not one, but two pediatric cancer diagnoses, Brady was supported by Four Diamonds throughout his treatment. Today, he’s an author working to empower young patients by helping them understand what cancer is—so they feel seen, supported and strong, no matter their age.
With countless ways to get involved and support our mission, Four Diamonds makes it easy for you to start supporting childhood cancer research and treatment. Whether you donate online, host an event or volunteer, you’ll be making a difference in the lives of childhood cancer patients and their families.
