How were/are you involved in Four Diamonds and THON? One of the best parts of my role as the executive director of Four Diamonds is having the opportunity to work closely as a mentor to the fantastic students who serve on the THON Executive Committee each year.
Why is the partnership between Four Diamonds and THON so important? Simply put, THON’s support powers our fight. Their loyal support has made it possible for Four Diamonds to take care of 100% of our patients’ medical needs each year without a cost to the families, to provide resources and to support the entire family, and to fund life-saving research to find a cure. And the dedication of THON’s volunteers inspires us to keep fighting – FTK®!
What is your favorite memory?
THON is the largest display of human kindness I’ve ever witnessed. Being surrounded by the feelings of hope, love and kindness that the students and families create throughout THON weekend is my very favorite part.
What is your dream for Four Diamonds and THON over the next 40 years?
My dream is that our steadfast partnership leads us to a cure for childhood cancer!
