Dr. Sinisa Dovat, professor and vice chair for basic science research in the Department of Pediatrics and Four Diamonds researcher at the Penn State College of Medicine, has been awarded a $4 million grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Health to advance his research in pediatric oncology. Dovat’s research focuses on developing precision medicine approaches for the treatment of pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a common malignancy that affects children, with a particular emphasis on high-risk leukemia subtypes prevalent in the Hispanic and Latino populations.
