Familiar rhythms of everyday life give way to appointments, treatments and an uncertain road ahead. Family, friends and communities rally early, offering comfort, support and encouragement.

But as the world continues moving, that initial outpouring of support can begin to fade. The rallying cry of hope may grow quieter, even as families continue facing difficult days, small victories and unexpected setbacks. Childhood cancer is not defined by a single moment, and the challenges families face don't simply disappear.

The need for care, support and hope endures.

So does Four Diamonds.

For more than 50 years, Four Diamonds has stood alongside children and families facing childhood cancer, helping ease financial burdens, provide comprehensive care and advance research toward better treatments and cures. Continuing that commitment takes a community of supporters who recognize that the need doesn't end when the initial outpouring of support fades.

That's why Four Diamonds Champions, a monthly giving program that offers a simple, meaningful way to support children and families throughout their cancer journey.

Every gift to Four Diamonds makes a difference. But monthly giving offers something especially powerful: consistency.

"There's power in showing up. There's strength in staying," said Suzanne Graney, executive director of Four Diamonds.

When you become a Four Diamonds Champion, your recurring gift helps provide a dependable foundation for the care, support and research that children and families rely on today, while helping shape what a childhood cancer diagnosis could look like tomorrow.

What Your Monthly Support Makes Possible

The impact of your monthly gift reaches across the three pillars of the Four Diamonds mission: financial assistance, comprehensive specialty care and support services and innovative pediatric cancer research. Together, these efforts help address the challenges families face today while working toward a future without childhood cancer.

With the support of donors, Four Diamonds covers 100% of cancer-related medical expenses not covered by insurance for eligible Four Diamonds families. This financial assistance helps alleviate the burden of medical bills so families can focus more fully on their child's care.

But the challenges of childhood cancer extend beyond medical expenses. More than 35 specialty care providers and services help address the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of children and their families throughout treatment and beyond.

As George F. Blackall, Psy.D., MBA, ABPP, professor of pediatrics, humanities and psychiatry at Penn State College of Medicine, explains, this comprehensive approach is an essential part of childhood cancer care:

"Psychosocial care of children with cancer and their families is a critical component of comprehensive childhood cancer care. Because of the support we receive, we can provide a wide array of services including psychology, social work, art therapy, music therapy, child life specialists, and an exercise physiologist. This support helps children and families navigate the complex and often intense emotional aspects of childhood cancer."

Beyond supporting families through treatment, Four Diamonds is investing in a future where more children can overcome cancer. Four Diamonds supports more than 90 research professionals across eight dedicated pediatric cancer research labs, helping advance discoveries toward better treatments and cures.

For researchers, consistency can mean something especially valuable: time.

Franklin Back, Ph.D., assistant professor and lab manager, sees the impact of that support firsthand:

"In research, time is data. Four Diamonds' steady support shortens the gap between question and answer — faster reagent deliveries, quicker equipment turnaround — giving our team more opportunities to generate the evidence that guides real, timely decisions when it matters most."

These are the possibilities that sustained generosity helps make real. From easing financial burdens and supporting emotional well-being to advancing promising research, monthly gifts help Four Diamonds continue its mission for children and families facing childhood cancer.

Small Monthly Gifts Can Create Lasting Impact

Making a meaningful difference doesn't require a large donation. Even a small monthly commitment can have a lasting impact when sustained over time.

You can become a Four Diamonds Champion with a monthly gift of just $10. Over the course of a year, that becomes $120 in support. A $25 monthly gift adds up to $300.

When Champions across our community give what works for them, month after month, their collective generosity becomes a dependable source of support for children and families facing childhood cancer.
